OK, so here’s my top 10 desserts at Alpine, 1 being my favorite. Keep in mind this is just one Alpiner’s opinion (me!). Post me a comment and tell me your favorite! Kudos to Mrs. Gail and her amazing team!
- Apple cobbler a la mode at Final Banquet
- Birthday cake (I would never come to your table after lunch on your birthday looking for free cake, never.)
- Peach cobbler
- Cherry cobbler (you see a pattern forming here)
- Moose tracks at Sunday lunch (or any dairy product made by Mayfield)
- Ginger cake on nights that we have apple sauce – generously apply apple sauce to top of cake (I’m weird I know)
- Homemade carrot cake that Mrs. Gail makes sometimes in the offseason (one of the perks of living here year round!)
- Cheesecake – enough said
- Thank you chocolate pudding (yes, that’s the brand name). One requirement here, must be on days when the tiny silver dollar biscuits are served. Mix 4 biscuits in with the chocolate pudding, bam, you’ve got chocolate pie.
- Red Jello on Opening Day – what can I say, it’s an Alpine tradition.
OK, I’m adding 2A because I just remembered it: Homemade vanilla ice cream (crushed oreo cookies optional) made on our front porch on Sunday afternoon by a cabin for cabin time (you have to remember to ask your counselor to sign up for it). Now that is a deal because you are always kind to share some with poor old me. Just thinking about all these desserts makes me ready for the summer!

I like that orange cake that tastes like fruit loops. Controversial I know.
I’m not sure about wether or not you would come to my table and eat my cake you sound kinda nuts to me. Oh welll you seem pretty normal but like Weldon said somethings are cotroversial!!!!
I don’t know about everybody else but moose tracks has got to be the best and when we sing the song after,it makes it taste so much better!!!
Moose tracks is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moose Tracks and Sherbet are my favorite deserts at Alpine!!!!
